Made of Bronze and heavy. Buddist ritual item.

At a guess I would say it looks late 19th century, but it could be a modern repro, I don't know.

It's a Phurba, a ritual dagger.

I think it would be difficult to date.

Those masks, monkey faces and grinning horse would suggest chinese perhaps?
As to date, not sure of that.

Length 250cm weight 3lbs no markings. Since posting I have found a similar one that is listed as 18th Century. Interesting piece. It has come in my keep due to a bereavement.

If it weighs 3lbs at 250cm it ain't bronze!
