Don't know if I'm in the right section for this but if possible can you please help me out?

I want to do this old print as a for a close family friend, ie get it touched up and re printed and framed up for her for Christmas, it's a print of her deceased husband when he was in the Navy, if anybody could do a quick fix for me that would be fantastic, I have tried and failed as I have no processing skills.

To be honest the first pic doesn't look bad at all, short of a real high res scan of the original I don't think it's going to get a lot better, theres a few little bits of cloning that could be fixed fairly easily, and I'd turn it to black and white (rather than the sepia it is now) other than that I don't think theres a lot left to do.

Here is my go, havent done any cloning or touch ups on this version. just adjusted it for now to see if I could get close to what your after.?
Did use a high pass filter, after the uploaad looks like it might need another pass through the noise reduction a tad.

Thing about pictures like this is I love them looking old as they are.
