"can anything else go wrong"

As Murphy said - If anything can go wrong it will.

I share your pain...

I've just got back from the hospital with half a leg cast on for a suspected (they're not sure) fracture in my ankle.

I fell down a stair (yes, one) on Monday and they originally diagonsed torn ligaments, but they're now unsure so they've plastered me until next Friday when I've got my appointment with the orthopaedic dept.

You may have a broken ankle ..........but our wonderfull NHS is unsure:thinking:.....break the cast off and ring 999 for an ambulance and ask to go to another hospital:thumbs:

I've been to two different hospitals (one when I first did it, near work) and the one near my house when it was getting worse.

The 2nd has said that it's a small (tiny) fracture, if it's there.

Confusion reigns! :D

But dont the small tiny ones show up on X-ray, if its causing you discomfort and days off work and all the rest, I would go back to casualty and find out if it is broken after all it is their job to find out and not leave you for nearly a week .....

Tiny cracks in bones can be missed if the area is heavily swollen, alot of hairline factures dont need to be plastered to heal correctly. But if the condition dosnt improve after a few days they normaly fit a cast.

Alot of runners, and bodybuilders can develop hairline fractures whilst training, that rarely need anything other then a bit rest.
