Im looking to do some outdoor shots but I want to use my flash gun but I also need an umbrella, Im not sure if im right or not but is there such a thing as something that can hold the umbrella via tripod? I hope I make sense :|:|

Yep, I do this but with a softbox. Same principle.

You can get a spigot that has a screw thread thatll take a tripod screw. When attached, it'll sit proud if the tripod heading allowing an umbrella tilt head or softbox speedring to be attached.

There was a thread on here about it a while ago with some links - will try to find it :)

Thanks dude :) I`ll have a look for one then because I want to start doing out door shots, I mean I have a lights sphere for my flash gun but I know its a better light if I can use a soft box etc. :) But ty :D

go and have a look in Calumet near Ardwick... i got some bits and bobs from there at reasonable money and you can ask them first hand what you need and try it in the shop to make sure it'll do the job you want
