camping in lake district

does anybody have any recommendations for campsites in the keswick area, going away in june, there will be a group of 3 of us. most of the campsites ive looked at only allow for couples and familys.

so does anybody know of any campsites that allow groups?

There's a Camping and Caravan Club site right on the lake shore which is nice, they are fine with groups.

There are also a couple of sites up near Castlerigg, and I've camped there too with friends with no problem.

Probably about 15 miles from Keswick but it ticks all the boxes.

The Castlerigg ones don't allow groups - trust me, I've just been dealing with them to organise a TP meet.

We have got a nice campsite at www.dalebottomfarm.co.uk (two miles further out than Castlerigg) who are happy to let us all camp there, and very reasonably priced too. Look at the meet thread for details.

Agree, we have stayed there a few times and its a good site.
