Their London shop?

They moved to what appears to be a slightly nicer premises across the road in Wells Street W1, virus hit and the new shop never opened.

Nice new corporate identity ...

Now, their Chelmsford and Stevenage branches are open but not London. Will it ever open?

Unlucky if they took out a new lease just before covid hit, and they're now paying what must be a very expensive rent for a site thay aren't using. 'Closed until further notice' doesn't sound too promising. I wonder what proportion of their business was mail order even before this happened? I see both Aperture shops have now re-opened.

I think it's more that the footfall still isn't in central London and whilst closed they get rates relief, business rates in London can sometimes be more than the rent. Staff probably on furlough so won't be costing them much.

I thought the reduced footfall would be why they were still shut, but didn't think about the rates relief. I was in the next street a couple of days ago, and the whole area (even TC Rd) seemed very quiet.

I've bought stuff, sold stuff, been given stuff (used filter, step-up ring) at that place in the past. It would be nice to see them back. Fingers crossed.
