You'd be better putting this in the classifieds price check section!!

Not when it's a new poster! No access to classifieds section.:nono:

When would I get access to the classifieds section? What's the required post count... surely I'm past it now? I still can't access it.

As I understand it, you need 25 meaningful posts and to have been a forum member for two months. I've just checked your stats and see you're averaging 25 posts per day! However, you've only been here since last week so you'll have to wait to December.

I hope you're not holding your breath for it though. There's nothing desperately exciting in there.;)

I was able to peek in there early in my post count, they may have increased the minimum? [edit] just seen the post above ^^ I joined here a while back, but only posted a few times. Came back a couple of months ago and started to post again. That's why I could get in, I had the 25+ posts and had joined over a year back.

That's some collection of cameras. Some fim heads here will be rubbing their hands, but until you can access classifieds, you can't sell them on here.

As the OP doesn't have access to classifieds or any of it's subsections I've suggested this thread be moved to the specialist film and conventional forum, as he is more likely to get a decent knowledgeable response from the people in there :D

Moved as requested.

And a general note to anyone contributing to the thread - we all know the rules about trading on this forum (or if we don't we need to read them NOW!, before posting and getting me to :bat:) So, helpful hints as to the price will be appreciated. Offers to take the gear off the OP's hand will NOT...

Also, to the OP, if ANYONE contacts you via PM regarding selling these items, it would be a wise move if you were to report them to the site staff (there should be a little red triangle button on the PM screen you can press for this iirc!)

Ooh its sooo exciting when you're strict....

Well I can see a couple of potential gems - the Olympus XA and the Olymps 35SP. The latter should fetch a rather nice price depending on it's condition!

I would say these will be the popular ones if they are in good nick and working well. The others will be a touch more esoteric. The little Konica is a cracker. They don't come up that often and are worth a decent amount.

I would not pick any out, as they are all meaningful and special in their own way. and some of them quite rare.

Even the instamatic 500 is top of the range, with xenar lens and 1/500 top shutter speed
The Folmer No 0 is a historic camera.

I would offer the lot to a specialist Auction House camera sale. As they are of more than passinfg interest, though not worth a vast sum.

You father obviously recognised the small landmarks they represent. Though never had to spend that much to acquire them. I suspect the Rollieflex had been a working camera, and Its value will depend more on the lens fitted.
It is very strange the Korelle has no lens. The Soho is more interesting than important, Red bakerlite was all the rage in 1935 when it was made but it was a lowend snapshot camera..

There is something worth saying about all of them. I am sure they represented more than value to your Father.
