If you're going Easyjet, make sure you get on promptly or there will be no overhead storage left. Because they charge for checked in luggage, every one goes hand luggage. Well that's been my experience anyway. I hope you enjoy your trip...

FWIW, me and the Mrs now have a pair of Lowepro Hatchback 22L backpacks and are pretty sure we can get the stuff we want to take with us in those..

I've been travelling as light weight as possible. So Billingham insert and 5D mark2 plus lenses goes into hold, Billingham Hadley bag and x100 plus essentials for the flight goes with me onto the plane.

oh, and a bag full of batteries which have to be in the hand luggage. :mad:

Just have insurance on your gear and wrap things up nicely with t-shirts and underwear. Worst come to worst, the x100 will get the job done. In fact, during my last month long trip, the x100 took over 1000 photos while 5D2 only got a half-day outing and did less than 100 photos.

(won't be taking DSLR to my honeymoon, just x100 and a tripod)
