I have been looking at Nikon's Camera Control Pro2 for tethering the D3S and in researching came across 'CameraRc' a third-party camera control software for Nikon D40, D40X, D60, D80, D90, D200, D300, D3, D3X, D3S, D5000, D5100, D700, & D7000 "with more on the way".
I gave the 30-day trial a go and it seems quite useful, there was a problem with the 'Live View' mode so I emailed the guy and he came back with a solution overnight!
The update got it working fine - it's early days in the trial but at $19:95 with 12-months support or $44:95 with lifetime support (Paypal - no cc details necessary) - it seems a useful and economical option.

Thought I would share for other Nikon users to see and maybe if you have already tried/used it you could report your thoughts in this thread.
I have no financial or personal interest in promoting this product.
