Hi All,

Just wondering if anybody has used Camerabox for equipment, the prices are quite tempting specifically the Nikor 55-200 afs Dx that is currently £70 cheaper than Jessops.

Any comment's re reliability, returns issues and general service.

Cheers

I've used them several times and everything went smoothly. I haven't returned anything to them but if their service is anything to go by I wouldn't worry.

My Canon 10-22 came from them, ordered it early afternoon and it arrived the next morning! Great prices and service.

I bought a Nikon 70-300 AF-S VR from them a few weeks ago. They did not have it in stock but stuck with the price I paid on the invoice rather than the £70 increase that the lens had by the time it came into stock.

See my feedback thread on them here...... http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=110553

Hope this helps

Nick

Used them a couple of times and have being very impressed with their prices and service

Used them last week ordered a Tamron 70-200mm and it arrived next day and also found their customer service was brilliant

I got my new lens from them and it was a pleasure to give them my hard earned ...good company mate

what my missus means ...we cocked up the bank details and the staff at camerabox sorted it for us and we got the lens next day without any hassle

Thank's for the info folks.:) if I can get under the Mrs's cash seeking radar I think I may just order that lens.:D

used them once....
I was let down but in fairness someone had just taken a wall down from their warehouse and stolen loads of stock...so I can't blame them for having a dodgy stock report....in the end it worked out. hopefully they caught the toerags too..

As long as you realise they're stock is grey imports and that things going well seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

Brother just ordered a D90 from them, it took a week to turn up and he had to collect from the couriers otherwise it wouldn't have arrived until the following week.
On opening the "sealed box" he found no paperwork of any kind, no warranty card, no manual, nothing bar the camera and bits.

Do not use credit cards with them either, they take the money at the time of purchase, not at time of delivery and there are numerous issues of customers card details being used elsewhere without their permission.

Just google camerabox problems.

I've bought a couple of lenses from them and my card got cloned shortly after like the people Ian mentions. If you use Paypal to pay them then I believe this is not possible.

However, they had stock and the prices were good and my bank retrieved all the money swiped from my account.

Would I use again? Yes if Mr Kerso doesn't have the item. Hmmm 70-200 F2.8L.

I've used them twice & despite the problems mentioned above I had no troubles at all -

only thing I found was when I ordered on the a Friday the order wasn't processed until the Monday so delivery was Tuesday - were as if I had ordered before 6 on the Thursday I would have got the item delivered on Friday.

They suppy imported goods - but they do not state this on their website.

This means that in many cases you have to deal with Camerabox for any warranty issues - now based on the mixed reviews of their customer service for sales I can't see warranty being any better.

While their service was good when I ordered - it was only later I realised my product had no UK warranty. Would never use them again.
