Just recieved my Nikon 70-300 AF-S VR from Camerabox. I ordered it at the pre increase price (£289.99). Although I have had to wait 3 weeks for them to get stock from Nikon () they dispatched it on Monday and it arrived today - all for the original web price that I paid:thumbs:

Having spoken to them a couple of times to find out the status of the order they have always been very helpful and polite so defo a big:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Pleased for you that you had a positive experience  - Not so in my case - I bought a camera which under their 'no quibble' guarantee I returned for a full refund (minus cost of your postage which I'd expect) - After several days of waiting for the refund on my credit card I emailed them & was advised 'refunds are usually processed within 30 days' - After several emails I managed to get the refund in about 21 days - Maybe that's normal practice in the etailing trade (?)

Interesting! Was considering buying a lens from them but I'd never heard of Camera Box before... Lens isn't in stock at the moment anyway.... maybe it is common practice rather than holding stock to just buy in as needed.

I think that they keep a reasonable stock and they have "Live Stock" on their website. I was just lucky that I was able to order at the lower price and then had to wait for stock to be delivered (it had gone up almost £90 by the time it was instock). When I phoned they said that they have 2 deliveries on a friday from Nikon and they never quite know what they will be getting.

I thought that they would try and charge me the higher price but give them credit they stuck to the invoiced price. The only worrying thing for me was that they took the money from the credit card straight away and then I had to nervously wait. I would advise that you use a credit card as then you have some comeback if it is not delivered.

Give them a call and they may well be able to give you a delivery date.

I bought my Canon 55-250 IS from them, quick delivery and good comms.
They are currently the cheapest in the UK (that I can find) for the Canon 430 EX MK II Speedlite and I intend on buying one from them.

I ordered a canon 450D plus a lens a couple of weeks ago and it arrived the next day!

So obviously no problem with them from a personal point of view.

............... Seems to be a common situation just now. I have cancelled a few orders recently when it turned out the vendor had no stock.

A week ago I ordered a lens from Warehouse Express via the website. During the order process stock was said to be low.
As soon as I completed the order I got an email saying they had no stock and would need to get me one from their supplier.
I cancelled the order and phoned Park Cameras who had plenty.

Could be cashflow problems with some firms.

We ordered a Tamron 70-200mm from Camerabox yesterday and was delivered today and their customer service is second to none and kept us well informed by email and phone
so a big :thumbs: for CAMERABOX
also they seem to be the cheapest at the moment

Great communication and service from CameraBox.

Ordered yesterday and received goods today. Call received to advise goods would be shipped (as order placed late in the day)

Top marks and keen prices too.
The bundles are enticing... (Canon EF-S 55-250mm)

Next purchase will be the Canon 430EX MK II Speedlite Flashgun
