I bought a Canon bridge camera from this company online recently based on price & extra year guarantee offered
They dispatched the camera quickly via a courier & it was packaged in 2x plastic bags with no added protection to the original box - When I opened it I found the box to be seriously damaged & looked like it had been stamped on or had something very heavy fall on it - The box did its job though & the contents appeared ok & the camera powered up ok - I politely explained this to their CS via email & asked if I could have the box replaced as it was of no use should I try to sell the camera on etc in the future - I was told they could not do that but if I was unhappy I could return the camera for a replacement or refund - When they got the camera back they asked why I had returned it as they found only 'slight damage' to the box - They then refused to replace the camera & offered to refund me but would not refund my postage costs of returning the camera - As a week passed & I had no refund I asked when I could expect this & was sent a one line email which states 'all refunds are processed within 30 days'
I am holding my tongue until my refund appears but thought I'd warn anyone here who might consider using them ... Paul :)

I had a lens on order, they took money immediately and didn't ship anything... it was always "coming soon". In the end I asked for a refund, which was credited as soon as I asked and back on my CC two days later.

TBH I'm not sure I'd return something due to a damaged box..

same thing happened to my mate!! who still hasnt had a replacement or money back mate! I have stopped using these as they just lie all the time saying they are not recieveing emails and telephone calls. 150% useless!

I know it sounds a bit anal to return something because of a damaged box but it really was crushed - Whilst the camera appeared to work ok with the impact it must have taken how would I know the camera hadn't some damage that would rear its head over time? - Also if in a year or two I wanted to sell the camera I'd rather have a camera in its original box (in decent condition) to sell & ime this would be easier to sell etc

After reading the other comments here I may speak with my cc company and see if they can help

Regards ... Paul

Gotta say I'm not following your logic... you are looking two years down the line.. thinking you might sell it, but you are willing to lose.. what £20 or £30 in postage right now to get the perfect box? Yeah.. it does sound a bit anal :)

IMHO boxes make no real difference to a final selling price - its a bit of cardboard really and two years down the line stuff depreciates stuff so much I'd just enjoy it now rather than worrying about re-sale price.

Just IMHO but I think your Credit Card company will just laugh at you tbh!
