camera warranty?

Hi,
I would like to ask you should i buy extended warranty for my digital camera and lenses?
I bought last week canon 60D +lenses, and canon comes with 1 year cannon warranty, and as I have never done this before... If you can give me any suggestions/recommendations will be very useful!

In terms of accidental damage, that may be covered on house insurance. However, I would be very interested to know about warranty to cover camera / lens failure, as I would be worried about buying more expensive lenses otherwise.

Most household policies require you state any items worth over £500 I believe, worth checking. Or was that travel insure with 'at home' cover.......I forget.
