I want to upgrade my Canon 7D to a full frame one and I was looking at the 6D mk2 and the 5D mk3 which are similarly priced to my budget, I am a non professional and mostly take photos of the grandkids but would like to start landscape photography, I have read reviews and both have good and bad points.any thoughts on what would be the better option, anyone used both of these?

They’re 2 similar cameras regarding IQ and focus functionality.

The big differences are that one is an enthusiast model and one for pros.

So you can have WiFi and GPS in a smaller lightweight body with an articulating screen

Or a larger heavier more rugged camera with dual card slots.

why? for the shots you mention its not a real issue both cameras are more than able

What / when are you shooting that 1 stop of DoF will make such a vast difference to your images?
 
Thank you both for making that point, the lighter 6d mk2 it is going to be, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't throwing my money into something that was dreadful
