i received an email today from cameratonic,never heard of them,they claim that i've bought something from them on ebay in the past,when i click the link it took me to a professional looking website with a photo comp,not sure if this is a scam,anyone else had this email?

Nope - but as my old english teacher once said "If in doubt - leave it out"
 
Check when the domain was registered, companies house webcheck and what they say on their contact us/about us page etc. However like said...if its too good to be true, it probably is. So don't use them if never heard of them.
 
I ordered some Hoya Pro 1 UV and polarise filters on 5 Jan, cheaper than Amazon and arived today so great service plus a £2 off voucher to use by 15 Jan
 
If the filter's genuine, fair enough... but if it's fake, no amount of saving will have been worth it.

Though there are those that would question the validity of a first post boosting the presence of a commercial entity...
