I would love to get a new 'girly' camera strap and liking the idea of a sling type one. Any girls on here recommend any please?

I love Phat straps (not sure if they can be sling type?)

Quite like the Black Rapid ones but I normally have my Giottos tripod/monopod plate on there as I use them a lot

Op/Tech Sling is the other one, is this just connected to the strap by one side of the camera body?

Any other suggestions?
:thankyou:

RS-W1 for Ms arad85. She loves it....

I have the Rs w1 too and it's really very good :)

 Then why dont you get the FastenR-T1 to go with the tripod/monopod plate....

Thanks I wasn't aware of this, will check this out today.

Thanks arad85 & Tori :)

Anyone have a Phat strap?
:thankyou:

Looks like it's only compatible with a Manfrotto plate? Will do some more research into this. :thankyou:

I actually have a manfrotto but I find I want one or the other, i.e. tripod mounted without the strap or carry with the strap and not using a tripod so never bothered with the special fitting.

If thats the same in your case then I recommend the black rapid, it takes me literally no more than 30 seconds to swap from strap fitting to tripod mount. Is life really so busy that we can’t spare 30 seconds in a shoot to change from one to the other

I know what you are saying but I have rheumatoid arthritis and it is hard enough tightening a plate on my camera without having to do it quite a few times out and about. My plate normally stays on my camera to save me doing this. But I will look at it again though :thankyou:

Personally, I'm waiting on a Luma.loop that's slowly making its way across the atlantic...

Just not comfortable hanging a few kilos off the tripod socket (I know, it's irrational given how long tripod-socket straps have been around).

I use couchguitarstraps.com

Have just ordered a new camera strap, these are unique, handmade and extremely hard wearing and comfortable. They are also vegan, good if you don't do leather.

I first used them about 5 years ago for a couple of guitar straps - these are still going strong, even after all the abuse they get.

Ive been trying a few out, did not get on with the op/tech sling strap at all, too many bits in the way, especially when shooting portrait.

Loved the black rapid rs-w1 ! I will just have to find a happy medium with the tripod plate. So I'm on a mission to find it at a reasonable enough price, £48 is the best I can find at the mo, anyone seen this cheaper lately?

Thanks a lot :)

Just in case anyone else is looking, Jessops have the RS-W1 for £39.95 and Amazon have the FastenR-T1 for £15.85

Wifey who is 5 ft notverymuch and pretty tiny uses a Black rapid double sling. Carrying a couple of cameras all day(5D's and big heavy L glass) when we shoot a wedding can tire you out.
She says theyre the best thing she ever bought.
No more sore wrists or shoulders.
