Hi guy's. Does anybody have any first hand experience of the Peak Design - Slide Camera Strap?

Thanks in advance.

lady in my local camera shop uses one, think she really likes it, but if your using the camera alot its got no padding or give/stretch, and it may cut into you.

i use optech sling, and that has give and stretch to it, and is much cheaper at £15 ish

Considering the slide but not using straps so much anymore, might get the hand strap though.

I have a Leash and found the button dongles a bit of an annoyance, I really like the flexible webbing material the straps are made of though.

Just recieved slide. Really like it, gives you the option to have camera anyway you like it. In one position you can get lens facing down which get the camera off your way. The locking mechanism is very good to change length of the strap. So imho ita worth the money.

Thanks for the replies

I was also thinking about the Slide over my Black rapid but I'm not 100% sure yet.

My Slidelite arrived today, very plush and well made, can't help wondering how much cheaper it could have been without all the packaging.

Been using one for a while and love it, it's like a seat belt material. I have it on my fuji xt1 and sometimes take it off if i have a lighter lens and then put the peak design hand strap on instead. Due to the system it's easy and quick to change whilst out and about.

Hi
Are the buckles/adjusters metal - just thinking of scratches on camera if strap left on and put in a bag with camera. I know pretty easy to take off as I have the leash. Cheers

Tried just about every neck strap and sling strap on the market (op tech neck and sling straps, q strap, black rapid, sun sniper, Matin to name a few lol) trying to find the best and most comfortable. I have finally settled on the Peak Design Slide. I thought the lack of padding would be an issue when carrying heavy gear but it really isn't, and can carry the D750 with Tamron 150-600mm on it all day without discomfort. The fact the camera doesn't swing about or twist around on this strap compared to others such as the black rapid an absolute godsend. For most comfort and least swinging I find have one attachment on the left strap lug on the camera, and the other attachment on the supplied tripod plate better than having it attached to both strap lugs on the body.

Had a Slide Sumitt delivered yesterday, haven't had the chance to try out properly, but it looks very nice and comfortable to my limited use.

Is that just a fancy coloured slide?
