Try right clicking on the photo and select properties, works for me. Regards Jim
Edit, Opps yes as said below install original software that came with the camera.

If you use the original software or Photoshop than the data can be viewed straight from that. Or Microsoft Picture Maker, open the picture, right click for properties and then expand the camera properties.

have you loaded all the software that comes on the cd with the camera?
Zoombrowser EX and Digital Photo Professional both allow you to see all the data

there are updates for both on the canon website

ive tried just right clicking and properties, and opening it up in microsoft photo editor. Doesnt come up with the shutter speed and f stop. But thanks.. im going to try and download the software it came with to see...

If you go here
http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/index.html

Downlod the EXIF viewer.. I installed this yonks ago and when I right click on a picture I get the option to view all EXIF data.. which is what you want..

Software is free.. has no adverts or spyware.. good clean tool.

I'll second that. I use it all the time.

This only works with online photos doesnt it? not photos situated on your pc?

right click the icon of the photo wherever it is on your pc... (when its not open)... then click properties, then the summary tab at the top... then advanced... all your exif is in there.

Wrong! Works with any photo anywhere that contains EXIF data - pc or on-line.

well my opanda exif reader only shows in my right click with online photos. it just doesnt exist in the right click menu with photos on my pc.

Could this be a difference in the Firefox version to the IE version? I use Firefox.

if its the program I am thinking of, open your hard drive pics in a browser window [right click, open with] and it shows the exif data that way.....but not used it for over a year, so not sure

I just use Microsoft picture manager for quick data viewing, of file info in photoshop if thats already open
