Camera recommendation for school PE dept?

probably one of the fujifilm bridge cameras, should be some on the currys website etc
 
Yes, I'd stick a plug in for the Fuji range in that price bracket as well.

S2000DH is around £175 and the S5800 is around £150 or less at the mo .... leave you a bit extra for some memory & a spare battery.

You will find that this type or camera is much closer to a DSLR experience than that which a little silver rectangular box can give. A Friend started out with the S5700 and I was always impressed by what you got for the money & quality of the output ...... but it's a big market at this price point
 
Yeh, the S5700/S5800 are excellent. Go for the 5700 though, lower megapixel count less noise - you can find them about £75-£80+.
 
Update:

Was in PCWorld on the way home from work tonight and the S5800 was selling for £90 and the S2000 for £150 in their Jan sale ... to my mind you can't really go wrong with that :)
 
fujishop online for a refurb..... though pcworld might have stock and be cheaper
 
Sainsbury's selling the Fuji S5700 silver for under £70 earlier this week.
