Camera price fall predictions?

I'm on the look out to buy a new Nikon camera and wondering what is happening out there that might make prices fall sometime soon so I don't go spending more of the money I don't have than I need to.

well rumours have abound for months that the D200 price will drop because there will be a new version out 'soon' but still seen no signs of it or even confirmed rumours - so my advice...go for new, the best you can afford atm, or possibly second hand maybe from a reputable dealer....just go and get it!! :lol:

Oh, and well done for going for Nikon! Far better choice than howitzer :D :clap:
 
Too right - just picked the howitzer tag from another thread!!!
Partner has D200 which is essentially same as my D80 but with weathersealed etc. Dead jealous me - bite the bullet & go for it.
 
I can't see the d200 being replaced any time soon. If they upgrade it anymore its practically a D2x :p

The most important part of buying digital camera gear, or computer suff really, is that once you've got the kit you need to match your needs..... stop looking that instant.

If you keep your eye on the market and new products, you'll just get derpressed at how amazingly quickly your new state of the art, top of the range thingy becomes a worthless and obsolete bit of junk. As long as you stay away from the media, who will try and convince you that the next thing along is a must have do da and light years ahead, you'l still have a perfect tool for the job you bought it for. ;)
