Camera Not Recornised By PC

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum so I hope that this is the right place for this post.

I have a Fuji S9600 and all of a sudden my laptop is not recornising my camera.
The software that came with the camera is Finepixviewer and Hyper-Utility2, and up until yesterday when I pluged it in (directly as I don't have a card reader) Finepixviewer started up, asked me if I wanted to upload the photo's, and if I wanted them erased from the camera, but now nothing happens.
I can get the photos up if I go into the files but that is the only way.

Has anyone got any idea of what it could be?:help:

Have you inadvertently switched the camera connection mode? This is set on the camera itself and tells the camera how to act when its connected to a pc.

Give me 2 mins and I'll try and find out what its called on that fuji.
 
Wow Matt talk about spot on:clap: Thank you very much, it would have taken me a hell of along time to sort that one out, and thats if I ever got around to checking the camera. I thought it was a software/laptop related problem.

Thats okay mate, I work in IT, plus I've come across that issue with my own kit before :)

Glad you're sorted.
 
Just for anyones reference, if any usb device is no longer recognised, uninstall drivers reboot your machine and re-install drivers then plug it in.

works every time, quite a common issue with my mobile phone
