does anyone know any cheap places to hire lens,
i live in kent,

looking for a 50mm lens for a christening so will only will be using it once,
looking for somewhere close so i don't have to pay for extra cost for delivery,

thanks

Try lensforhire, although, by the time you've hired the lens, might be just as cheap to purchase a 50mm 1.8. Even if you barely use it, would still be a good addition in the bag :) my thoughts is all :)

Never used them, but lenspimp.co.uk could be worth a look?

+1 They are forum advertiser so i guess that must be good:shrug:

I remember looking through there website a while back and was very impressed with prices and there hiring policy.

Try kerso (ian Kerr) on here for the price of a 50mm f1,8. It'll probably be better to buy one rather than hire. It's such a light lens that it'll live in your camera bag for this occasions when you need them. It often turns out to be very useful.
Or often they are for sale on here in the classifieds. Buy one, use it and if you don't want to keep it sell it again. You won't lose any money other than postage.
Or lens for hire are very good. I've used them before.

:plusone: to both of those. There's no need to hire a 50mm as by the time you've paid the charge and postage you're on the way to buying it. And if you don't want it just sell it on. You'll definitely not lose as much as the hire cost.

But if you are going to hirea a len I recommend lensesforhire.co.uk over the competition.
