I have a canon eos600d and I have noticed today that it isnt writing the images to the SD card when I am in Live view mode?

I wondered if it was the card itself, but it records images when taken through the view finder so I dont think its that? I then thought it might be due to the lens as I was using my UWA, but it still wouldnt write to the card when I used my kit lens.

I have looked through the settings and nothing has changed from the last time I used Live view mode.

Does anyone have any ideas??

Thanks!

I know when i use my 5D in live view and i try to focus with the back AF-ON button the screen goes off and the viewfinder opens making the exact same shutter noise.

Maybe you are having a problem along those lines?

I have checked the AF on settings in the menu, and I had it set to 0 - AF/AE Lock. I have chanced it to AE Lock/ AF and it seems to be working. I cant remember ever changing these settings though?

Still, its working, thats the main thing!?
Thanks for your help!

Have you always had the issue or has it just started, ive just purchased a
600D and was told that i had to use a class 10 SD card else i would have issues. not sure if this was a sales pitch or true however i had the class 10 card to be safe?

just at thought:thinking:

This is an issue thats just started - I have used this memory card before and it works perfectly - it records in non live view mode?
