Hi everyone I was thinking about taking out a policy with Towergate camera insurance. I just wanted some views on what you think of this company if you have had problems with them paying out for a claim etc... Or if you know of any other companies that are good to deal with.

I'm guessing that due to the number of 'which insurance' type posts people might think that the information is already here. I can't comment on Towergate I'm afraid as I'm with Aaduki - they were helpful and the price was very reasonable and there were good reports from others about them. I haven't had to make a claim so afraid I can't comment there either :)
 
As an amateur tog all my camera gear goes on the household insurance (M&S), for which the policy costs less for the entire buildings and contents (unlimited cover on both) than insuring my camera gear alone through a specialist.

If you're a pro it might be a different story. I used to use Aaduki, but I no longer have the need.
 
At the moment Im Semi pro, working towards going full time asap.
