CAMERA INSURANCE

Ive just had a quote from a company called Imagemaker, they quoted £165 for £4000 worth of kit, £150 excess regardless of claim (theft or accidental damage).

This sounds a bit too good to be true to me.

Has anyone had any dealings with them?

Iron Maiden or Iron for short.

Home cover only covers you're kit. Under which ever company you use they all have different clause.

If like yo said its for Football matches you will have to prove that it was not a payed job etc.

You need PL insurence etc etc.

You need tobe covered for everything. Any little excuse Insurance companies will wriggle out of.

If you are at a match and some trips over your kit bag and goes head first into the Hot dog mans trolly and loose an eye by head butting a ketchup bottle.

Kiss goodbye to your house and everything fella. The Court fees are crazy on law suits.

Never worth the risk.

( That was an over exageration, but you get the idea)

daryl,

i don't get paid yet (hoping to soon)
i do kent league football at the moment but have my conference licence that i want to do conference games,

Has anybody tried "protectyourbubble.com" interested with their multiple insurance discount but like many things the reviews are really mixed!
Thanks?

I am with www.protectyourbubble.com

They are really good. I had a claim last year for a cracked lens. They were very fast to pay out and made the whole process really easy.

I renewed my policy this year and the premium did not go up despite the claim.

Good service.

:)

Well the results are in..

Aaduki = £970
Photoguard = £1,380
Towergate = £ 600
Riskassess = £ 545

Will be going with Towergate as I have never heard of Risk Access who took over from Photo Shield when they went pearshaped.

So quite happy with the fully comp og Tower.

PC kit in office £5k
Laptops £4k
Camera/studio kit £18k
Public Liability £5 mill
Employers Liability £10 mill

Wages etc

Loss and damage to kit commercial cover the full Monty and more. Well chuffed.

Pretty good quote that. Is it including or excluding Professional Bodies discount?

:lol:

I thought that there might be a wedge off there somewhere!

Did you ask Aaduki for the same percentage off? They do 25% + for the BPPA and others.
