Camera gear left behind

On some camera's in the menu there is the detailed information that allows you to put your name in. Might well be useful

What make of camera is that please? I belong to a Canon user website and a.n.other Fuji user website, I can post there if it helps?

I’ve just posted it on the FujiX forum. Fingers crossed:)

And the Canon EOS user forum.

Posted it on my local Facebook page to , let’s hope it’s not a visitor to the area without proper interwebby access . But most likely is

Cambrian Photography have also shared the post and I've put it up on my page too... Hopefully it'll find its way back home soon.

Thats the first point I’d look at. I’m guessing the finder isn’t a photographer so wouldn’t know there is a copyright field that often has a photographers name in it.

Actually I didn't know that. How would you access it on a Fuji?

Just got back home from a 12 hr shift hence the cobbled together post from my iphone !

I will message the finder to see if they can access the menu with the owners details

That’s super , some good people up here in north wales

GOOD NEWS....the owner has now had his camera returned. Thankfully there are some honest people still around
That's excellent news. Last year when I was in the peaks I saw a note put on the car park payment machine that said a tripod had been found. I posted a photo of it on here just in case it belonged to anyone on here. There are still honest people about.

Somewhere in the set-up menu will be an option to add the Author's Name (or similar) which will embed the details into the EXIF of every shot. To see the details, right click on any image and select Properties - Details - then under the Origin heading should be the author's name.
