Hi! As always I'm putting lots of hope into you as I need help in finding a right camera or tool to make videos. I have my a6000 that I use for photos, I'm very happy with it but when I shot some video from a trip ofc I wanted to improve the shaky effects. Then I got a gimbal for a smartphone as my phone records 4k and I made a nice video but firstly there gimbal was basically in the way for the whole time and putting a phone on and off was just too troublesome secondly a phone footage despite choosing 30p was all over the place with FPS I guess because of the shutter speed, I guess I should've set the shutter speed myself.
Anyways, I'm looking for something small I can put in my pocket that will give me good quality video with stabilisation. I looked at rx100 iv and v and damn they're expensive but the videos especially slow motion look super steady and gorgeous. Is there any other solution you'd think?
All best,
Luk

What lens were you using on the A6000 and couldn't you just use a gimbal for that instead of your phone?

I'm using 18-105. The gimbal for the phone was much cheaper than the one that would be fine with the weight of my camera. Also I want my a6000 to be off gimbal since I can't imagine me putting it on and off all the time when I want to take a photo.

Have a look at the Panasonic gx85, it's just about pocketable and does great 4k footage.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was actually thinking about changing all my Sony stuff for em5 ii with 12-40 2.8. i loved my old Olympus and I saw the video is nicely stabilised. I'm only scared about 16 vs 24 mp. I am not a photographer and I'm cropping quite often.

have a look at camcorders, I have a panasonic HC-X900M no out of production as new version on the market. When I was in Egypt I kept it in my trouser pocket unless i was using it, thieves would have snatched it otherwise. his model does still as well as videos and my guess is exactly what you are after.
Wind noise will be a problem with any video work so a good dead cat on and extrnl mike I would recommend. How good is this one I have? taken from cruise ship with it. camcorder mike only used. Size is about a long as a glasses case. I don't often recommend a product but this deserves it
