Depends what you want to do with the camera, its a bit like asking wheres better for a Holiday Spain or Iceland?
 
just for holiday snaps beach people .thought the extra reach of a bridge may be usefull

It probably is, I had a Panasonic FZ18 that was excellent and not too big either, it had a 18x optical zoom i think
