Morning (again)
An intersting observation from yesterday ... when shooting with 2 camera bodies at sports (typical 400mm and 70-200) when the action comes in the box you need to position your 400 in a way that not only allows you to shoot with the 70-200, but also isn't blocking the view from the other photographers behind you.
I noted yesterday a mixture of how folks would position their 400m ... We are behind the goal to the left hand side so to follow the action with our 70-200 we turn right ... I noted some folks would lay the 400mm over their right shoulder .. while others (me included) would hang it off their left ....
I would think that the second way perhaps gives less view to those behind (although no-one complained) ... I tried once to put the 400mm over my left while shooting and almost fell into the pit .... won't be trying that again in a hurry ..
Certainly one of the things I'm always very conscious about and infant (Sadly) I do from time to time practice different positions at home ... (okay too much information)
Thoughts?
