Or whatever it's called. I have a 6D and windows laptop with the EOS Utiliy program. It allows for remote shooting but basically only the same functions the camera already has. Is there another program out there that gives you a bit more to play with like an intervalometer? I have no need for it, I just like to mess around

Have a look at the Pluto Trigger, i bought one during lockdown and it's a great tool to have in your bag.

I've looked at tether software a few times (though for Nikon on a Mac). This always gets good reviews - https://www.tetherscript.com/controlmycanon/
