Hi there, yes it does have that beautiful lens hood, the whole body and lens is in immaculate condition and full working order, as if was brand new....

Nice set of cameras, my Father passed away recently and I've been going through his collection, so far I've catalogued 126 bodies with loads and loads of lenses.

I've photographed a few and put them up on my Flickr site here.

My Fathers Camera Collection!

The Fed4 is a great camera with a fantastic lens, I use exactly the same lens on a modern Voigtlander Bessa R.

The Zeiss looks lovely too.

Thanks for the comments richard , sorry to hear that your father passed away, but i must say what a collection he has, WOW, I have loads more to put on here to show + lens, i think i might do what you have a put them all on flickR........:thumbs::thumbs:

I've been selling a lot so I try and remember to put the photos up on Flickr as I do them, as once they've gone they've gone. My wife won't let me keep such a large collection (meanie) But I'm trying to enjoy them all and find out as much as I can about them before they all go.

I'm keeping a few, The Leicas, Bessa, Nikon F5, Olympus OM's so I won't totally be without cameras.

Thank you for the sympaths, I am so regretting not being able to relate to all these cameras when he was alive so make the most if it while you can.

Cosmic symbol a very underrated camera, I have seen images from these that looked like they were taken with cameras ten times the price ( £500)

Brill bit of kit

I had a Werra in the 1960's and it certainly had a 4 element Tessar lens.
It was a peculiar green colour and had a really weird film advance system.
How I wish I still had that camera!

Thanks for the comments guys, im loving sorting through all of these, its great to see how much things have changed over the years :D

I just managed over the weekend to get ahold of a Werra 1 myself. Can't wait for it to get here now - just as well Ujjwal let me have some of that decent bw film I reckon :D

... it's here, what an excellent bit of mechanical engineering this is! Cannot wait to get a film in there :D

It's the black one, a Werra 1, with leather case and manual too. And that wicked little lump of glass at the pointy end too :D

Thats an interesting one, Arthur. It states the lens as Tessar - which, I believe, was produced only for a short period. After which they lost their claim on using the name Tessar; and used T intsead

Coo. Well, just dropped half a film inside so will "Take the dog for a walk, dear..."

PS - oddly, manual shows Werra I through V and yet the OP's model is not shown?
