Camera club in or near Basingstoke

Greetings all.
I have been thinking of joining a camera club / group to get be off my butt and out with the camera more. Please could anyone recomend any clubs or groups in the Basingstoke area.

Woow, now that is what i call a fast reply. thanks very much for the link. Great idea, I would love to meet up and get out and about. My daughter was my photo buddy, but then she got a boy friend and dumped me :-(

I am new to the forum, so how would you like to arrange a meet . Do you go to the club also?
 
I was a member of the camera club but I've had a busy few years with work and I picked up a sports injury which limited the amount of camera kit I was able to carry and the time I spent holding the camera so not really taken a lot of photos for a while I should start going back at the the start of next season.

I have sent you my face book details as a PM but if you want a contact number let me know. I'm free most weekend but the six nations is starting so I do like to find a pub if I am out to catch some of the game.

Gregory I think there is a link somewhere that lists all the camera clubs I think I found the basingstoke one here before I came a member

May be interested in going to this as well :) in Basingstoke and up for camera trips out as mine tend to be regular outings to the hawk conservancy at the mo...

If anyone fancies doing something give me a shout

I will be going to the camera club this thursday. And I am defiantly up for a get together. Maybe we should meet up one evening to come up with ideas on places to go and Genres.
 
sounds like a good idea I'm free most evenings maybe meet up in a pub in town
 
Possibly up for this Thursday although still trying to kick the bug going round :)
 
Just in case you work in London, I work in London and get back at about 1835hrs. This might help with picking a pub at one end of town or the other. How was the Rugby?. I have a French man in my team. From what I did get to see he should have a big smile on his face.

Still bugged up at the mo but plenty of drugs so fingers crossed, havent even followed the link, what time does it kick off?
 
im near basingstoke also (odiham) and would be up for meeting up anytime. also interested in the above camera club, i'll go take a look just now.

The rugby was good 2 days of for internationals I cant complain. thankfully We only have one welsh man in the office and for some odd reason he's not into rugby I think he may not be from wales really

I can't make the camera club thursday but how about meeting up monday the 13th around 7pm at The Way Inn or The Queens. the camera club meets at 7.45pm

It starts at 19:45hrs. Found the building tonight. Look for big white sign. It is about 2 turns off the main road
 
Just looked at the map and it's 2 secs from the office lol...

Count me in. I just need figure out where they are :-) Woops, looks like I put the time for the club also. Got hit in the head with a snow ball. That's my excuse anyway.

Found "The way in" i think. Is it up the hill behind the train station' near the church.

Still not found "The qreens"
 
What a dime bar. Just found the queens, i use to pop in this one a few years ago. This one is next to the car park at the station. Both are good for me. Maybe "The Way in" has free parking
 
I picked ones near the station as most people can find the station and I can direct if anyone gets lost.

The Way Inn is a much better pub all round

Drive past it most days but never been in! That's the one on the left as you up the hill with the steep car park entrance, right?

the food is good in there I use to travel from old basing to there in my lunch out for a two pint and a sandwich lunch :D
 
Looks like "The Way Inn" seems to be favourite. Should we go for that one this time and then decide on what next on the night. Is anyone intending to eat (snack or main) on the night. I can eat at work or later so I can go for the majority.

I just noticed this - I've started a Flickr group for Basingstoke toggers (called Basingstoke toggers) and we have only had one meet but hope to meet up weekly especially when it gets a bit warmer :-)

strangely enough we met up in the way inn prior to doing some light painting in the holy ghost ruins

go through the entrance to the church almost directly opposite the pub :) :) might join you on Monday :lol:

nice to see great minds think alike. I just joined the flickr group and posted a few pic's would be good to see some other people

Am still in the office at the top of the hill and in desperate need of a drink, could eat something as well if others are eating :)

Sheila be making an excuse to get out and be there for 7 :) just hope I can fit in the car park as it doesn't look that big from the road :)
