Which would you choose (No funny answers from the Nikonians pls:lol:)?

Canon 60D - New £600
Canon 7D (30 000 old) Used - £550
 
7D But where you getting the price for your 60D, there a lot cheaper than that if you shop around.

Google is your friend ;);)

Also I have a 7d - the camera's have the same sensor. Fundamentally they are similar. The 7d has a higher build quality and supposedly better auto focus etc... However at £460 you are getting an awful lot of bang for your buck. The 60d also has a flippy out screen - which could be useful for liveview shooting and video work.

I've used both and in most situations there is very little difference. The 7d will take more abuse, and is the couple of hundred quid isn't a lot to you then go for it.

However - the 60d isn't a bad camera. And recently I have been trying to get into video stuff. Having to use an external screen as I can't see the 7d's screen is a pain, I'd quite like the flippy out screen.

Also to the OP - 70d is coming out soon. The specs look ridiculous. It will be a lot more money than the 60d/7d for a while though. The 7dii is meant to be in the offing as well.
 
thanks everyone. I'm going for the 60D. It has a 3 year warranty and I like the fact the there is a detachable screen for video I'm buying it from hdew camera's tomorrow.

You won't regret it. Make sure you stay around and ask some questions. Also read the manual, you will be suprised how quickly you get used to it.
 
thanks, I've got a 40D currently so am fairly familiar with the controls. I will stick around here, i'm enjoying... although the speed of of new posts is difficult to keep up with... lol

You wont regret it I love mine, Got it from HDEW as well very good service.

From the reviews I've read it's the same processor with possibly slightly better processing in the 60D, at least that's what some reviews seem to be saying.

My apologies, I thought I had read canon had tweaked the electronics around the digic 4 for the 7D
