Camera Cases: Hardcases?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my camera case which is a nice convenient softcase which fits the camera with lens attached and has a few pockets for filters but I'm starting to outgrow it.

I need a case that fits a spare lens or two in too but is still small as something I can put in my rucksack with my other things.

What I'd also be interested in is if the case was more solid and perhaps had plastic in the lining or is made from moulded plastic so that it can take more of a bashing than a regular soft case (not that I want to be throwing my camera around!)
I was thinking I'd be happier to take my camera onto the ski slopes if I had a hard case that that could support a bit of a knock in the event I fall over.


I've had trouble finding anything of that description, can anyone recommend anything? I live in the UK so something available here if possible

peli cases?

not cheap but very good.

I've just fitted out a Peli 1600 which is superb, I even stood up on it to get a better viewpoint and I'm a big lad but it would be too big for this situation, one of the smaller boxes might fit the bill though, we used to use them for carrying rifles, they're nearly indestructible.
