Camera bundle for Mum £600 budget

My Mum has always used Nikon fixed superzoom cameras and looking for something a bit better now.

She would like it to remain fairly compact, easy to use and has a MAX budget of £600.

Would prefer new but open to 2nd hand with my help.

She would like a decent zoom as she likes taking pics of birds in the garden.

As she is used to Nikon my intial thoughts were a D3500 with 18-55 and 70-300 VR (DX version as light and cheap!).

Other options maybe the 200D with 18-55 and 55-200.

Will give her a few options to look at so if anyone else has some suggestions please let me know.

D3400 is almost the same as a D3500 but hasn't had the function button removed. I'd get a D3400, kit lens and af-p 70-300dx. Under £500 in total grey.

I prefer the D5xxx cameras to the D3xxx's but... why not look at mirrorless if she's not tied to a system? A XT20 is well within budget (inc lenses) in the Fuji refurb store.

Or something like this from HDEW is outrageous value.

One of the nice things about the Olympus (and m4/3) in general is that if that 300mm equivalent lens isn't long enough, you can get really long for not a lot of money and weight.

Used Sony A6000 seem to be a good deal, ditto used Panasonic GX80's plus some of the MFT lenses are just ridiculously cheap and easy to find on the used market. A GX80 plus the tiny but excellent 14-42mm mega ois, the tiny but good 45-150mm and a f1.8 prime (17, 25 or 45mm) would be easily in budget and all of these lenses are sharp from wide open.

The 14-42 EZ lens on the E-M10II kit uses power zoom, which I personally don't like, so I would be tempted to sell this and get the older Panasonic 14-45 or Olympus 14-42, both of which have manual zoom; you will probably save money in the bargain!

If buying used, for your budget I would go with a used E-M1MkI, Panasonic 12-32 or 14-45, and the Olympus 70-300 II - the latter will give you more reach for birds.

Just for clarity the link for Hdew I put up is for a new model but it is grey import. On the plus side it's the current mk3 version, not the mk2. At £479 It's an unbelievable bargain.
