Anyone recommend or point me in the right direction for a camera bag big enough to hold a Nikon D40 plus two lenses. Not looking to spend hundreds on one at the moment.

I've always liked Crumpler bags as they do not look like "Steal Me" Camera bags, and the inserts can be removed so the bag can be used for other stuff.

I use a Crumpler Daily 370 if i am out for the day. Holds body 2 lenses and a couple of cans of drink (Plus the mobile, lens cloths, filter etc)

Lowepro nova is quite a decent bag as well, various sizes to suit different outfits. Shoulder bag rather than a rucksack if that makes a difference to you.

I use a Lowepro 160AW. Its big enough for D40 body, kit lens and 55-200mm VR.

If you intend to buy more lenses, I recommend Lowepro Mini Trekker AW and it can carry your tripod as well. I ordered my Lowepro Mini Trekker AW 3 days ago and entitled myself a 20% cashback from lowepro. But the offer has ended since end of August. My other bag is Crumpler 6 Millions dollar. It is nice bag and doesn't look likes a camera bag.

I had a Lowepro Slingshot AW100, small but fits quite a lot for its size. Similiarly like you I carry a Nikon D40 with a lens mounted and usually one other lens. I have stopped using the Slingshot though and just use a normal backpack, just found it easy enough to access stuff and that it is more discreet.

i do find jessop somewhat overpriced, you should try other shop likes cameras2u.com or others. I do find their price slightly cheaper.

I use the Lowe Pro AW100

D70, Kit lens and a fat 70-200, 5 filters and still room for another small lens ... although I'll have to throw the flash out ..

Great small togs bag, Has one main fat shoulder strap and underarm strap for full secure ...good for me as a motorcyclist. It has a built in rain cover, (whom's pouch can also carry a few CDs or DVDs) .. and is comfy and light for long walks, climbs etc.

The ones Musicman posted look nice but the postage on both is way ott.

Can anyone confirm that a lowepro Apex 140AW is big enough to house a canon 400D?

TIA.
