I'm looking for a bag big enough to house my Canon 500D with it's 17-55 and battery grip all attached.

I have a brand new tamrac 5501 but it won't fit with battery grip attached!

Anyone any ideas?

I have a Think Tank 50 it takes a D3 or D700 with a 80-400mm or the 70-200mm 2.8 with hood fitted not reversed:)
 
What about the Kata 3N1 10,20 or 30 series :shrug: A 3 in bag slingshot, backpack & cant remember the 3rd :$

I manage to get that lot below in to it with ooodles of space for more gear...
 
want to spend under £50 ideally as im on a tight budget :(
 
Hi mate, I just got hold of the Lowepro 400aw which fits my 500 with battery grip. I got it from Morris Photography in Chipping Norton, I think they still have the green one for about £59. It fits all my gear in, 300mm zoom, flash unit, filters etc etc.
 
can you get some pics of it inside mate? amazon do it for £55 in black which is nice .. looks smart from outside but want to see the inside if i can :)
 
I can try and do a pic of it tonight, but you might find it on the Morris website. Just had a look, theres only the exterior pic. Try google image search, theres a few there.

I'm really chuffed with it, it's really solid, and has loads of space for stuff. It also has a rain cover hidden away in the base which is pretty useful. It certainly looks the part and I don't see any reason why I would need to change it in the near future. I got the green one as Morris's only didi this one at the lower price. I've seen them for around the £79 mark, but theres loads at the £50-£60 price point.
 
is it quite large on the back?

not sure if the 300aw is more suitable for me?
 
in fact i think the 400 is too big .. as long as the 300 will fit my 500 and grip in together ill get one of those!

the flipside isnt a bad bag i spose .. just not sure which one to opt for .. is the 300 big enough!?

Iirc, the lowepro toploader 75 will fit that combination. It used to fit my D700 + grip and 24-70 in it with a little room to spare at the bottom. Worth a look. :) depends if that's all you want to fit inside it though. If not, look at something else tbh.
 
id like a backpack style so its easy to carry ..

the flipside 300 is £45 on amazon new ..

so anything around that price would be great
 
ordered the flipside 300 in the end hope its here soonish!
 
Any of the fastpacks (lowepro), ive got the 250 and it can be had for £42 on amazon, awesome bag with room your laptop aswell :)

Hope you like the flipside though, i didnt like the strap design tbh hence why i went for the fastpack.

I liked that the flipside wasnt massive but yet big enough to house all my things and battery grip and still have room for improvement!

need a 55-250 now and that will do me for a while
