Hi All,

Im looking to buy a decent camera bag that i can fit my Canon 450D with battery grip and 70-200 mm lens attached inside. I would also like to be able to carry a flash gun, 18-55 mm lens and the lens hood from the 70-200 lens.

A place to carry spare memory cards and battery's would be nice as well.

I am asking having looked around for bags on various sites but none seem to be big enough. I am aiming to spend around £30-40.

Any ideas welcome,
Andy

Try your gear in a Billingham, It'll take you over budget but It'll last you forever and it's not overpadded and bulky. One of my students has a 500d woth 18-55 and 55-200 plus 430ex11 in a nice compact inconspicuous black and tan one.

I've just bitten the bullet and spend 60 on a crumpler messenger boy 400 for my 500D with 55-250 attaches, and hopfully room for spare lens and other bits and bobs.
It should arrive tomorrow so I'll post some thoughts on it.

I use a Lowepro slingpack 200AW, love it to bits http://www.morrisphoto.co.uk/ProductDetails~man~Lowepro~productID~5206~categoryid~157.html

Keeps hands free, easy access to my camera, and I don't have to put stuff down on the ground if I want to change lens etc. Carries my 400D, a couple of spare lenses, flash, other bits and bobs with no problem and is very comfortable to wear.

I've got on of these and I think it may be a tight squeeze to get the camera with 70-200 on in the bag. Maybe someone could confirm/deny as I'm looking to upgrade to a 70-200 F4 and would be nice not to have to think about a budget for a new bag as well!

I use a Slingshot 200AW and it's not ideal for the long 70-200mm lens.

The internal organisers don't really go into a configuration where I can fit my 400D + 70-200 f4 in together and even to get the lens in seperately means some 'creative' use of extra velcro to create a long enough compartment.

It's a great bag and I like it a lot but since I got my 70-200 I've been looking for another bag.
I guess the 300AW might do the trick if you're looking for a sling type bag - I'm thinking about the Crumpler range myself.

Amazon are doing the Lowepro Fastpack 200 for £36.99 delivered and your 70-200 will be fine in one of these.

Im looking into the Lowepro Fastpack 200 at the moment. Is there any Shoulder Bags that anyone can recommend? I find them a little easier to get my camera in and out of.

Have you thought about a Micro Trekker, will fit the body with lens attached

I've one for sale in the classifieds at present :whistling: - have a look at the photos I've posted in #14, this may help

Loving my new Slingshot 200 as well. A great bag for the price.

I generally keep short lenses attached so longer lens storage is not an issue

I have the slingshot 200 and it will not fit the camera with 70-200 lens attached for sure (I've tried), it barely fits with my 70-300 attached. Defo go for the Slingshot 300 if you can stretch.

i still recommend the fastpack 200, i always loved shoulder bags but found them too small, however there are three shoulder bags i would highly recommend, lowepro nova, stealth reporter and kata dc 445.
