Hi all

I have had a Tamrac Adventure 9 (http://harrisoncameras.s3.amazonaws.com/p/l/TAMR-17208.jpg) for some time now but my kit collection has grown a little and I'm finding the pocket at the top is just full of camera accessories, so it's a little pointless.

I'll be selling it shortly (probably on here) and looking to replace it for a dedicated camera bag with no top section for gloves / snacks etc. I've seen a few around but does anyone have any recommendations? I have a 7D with battery grip so it will need enough depth for that to fit. I'm thinking something a bit like this:

Any guidance is very much appreciated :)

Thanks

Stating the obvious, the bigger the bag the more you can put in it, the more that's in it the greater the weight, the greater the weight the bigger the disincentive to carry it.

Maybe it's a case of using one bag as the 'mother ship' using it to feed into a smaller bag to carry around? That's what I do.

That is a valid point John, I do have a small crumpler for the camera and a lens or 2. So yes maybe a big bag for everything to feed into the adventure and crumpler for taking out isn't a bad idea at all.

What do you use as your 'mother ship' bag?

I had (still have) exactly the same bag, and had exactly the same issue.

I ended up with a Mindshift Backlight 26L. Not sure of the depth of a 7d with grip, but my A7ii fits in on it's side:

Thanks David, looks like a good bag, an A7 on it's side is promising. Have you had it long? How is it to use? I am aware that my Adventure is comfortable, has worn exceptionally well, very well made and looks like it will last another 20+ years. I'd like to make the same good (lucky) decision on this bag. Might have a look and see if they do a larger version to incorporate Johns idea too

I'd guess I've had it about 6 months. I'm pretty hard on gear and the bag looks brand new.
Just in case you didn't know, Mindshift are part of ThinkTank, so pretty good quality (if not cheap).

It's great to use. I like that the bag opens from the back and can be swung around waist to access, without taking off. Worth watching a few YouTube videos on for sure.

Thanks I'll certainly bear it in mind. Anyone else with recommendations?
