Hello all,

I bought a Nikon D5000 camera with 18-55 lens a couple of weeks ago......after getting my hands on a Nikon AF-S DX 55-300mm lens i don't have enough room for everything in the bag i have.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a bag which will have room for camera and both lenses?

Many thanks

Rita :)

Thanks Michael, I'm from Ballybofey but i live near Burt now......just looked at the "Lowepro slingshot 200 or 202 AW", thats not a camera bag thats a suit case LOL.

Nice part of the county, I'm originally from Letterkenny myself.

The 200 is too big? What about the 100 or 102 AW which is a smaller version.

Or are you looking for a shoulder type bag?

Bags are very subjective and what suits one person may not suit another IYSWIM.

The 100 or 102 may not take the zoom lens attached to the camera.

Might be worth going into a shop with the camera and lens and trying out what suits your needs.

I really liked the Lowepros but at the last minute got persuaded to get a Kata 3N1-20 Medium Sling Backpack. What a great bag. The strap system means you can have it over your shoulder in a variety of ways. You can also get at the camera without taking the bag off your shoulder. Well worth a look.

I've the Kata 3n1-30 & agree with the above - althou the 3n1-30 would be massive for your gear.. Not sure on the 3n1-20 thou maybe have a look at the 3n1-10... Kata 3n1-10 also the link to the Kata 3n1-20 Kata 3n1-20

I've had the Tamrac Pro series (6,8,9,11) as well when before I had the Kata.. Here's a link to the smaller Tamrac pro series bags http://www.tamrac.com/f_systemproonebody.htm

Then again depends on what type of bag your after - slingshot, backpack etc - for an all rounder the 3n1 is one to consider... Then again the final choice is yours

I'd put in for a kata 3n1-20 as well, it fits a 1D mk2 and 3 lenses, should be good for you

Hi folks, thanks very much for all your help......this is an expensive hobby, but good fun.

I've only been doing photography for 7 months and already I have 4 bags (and another two which have been sold on!).

I am a girl though :D

I've got the Crumpler Muffin Top 4000 and it's fine for me. Fits my Nikon D40 with kit lens (18-55) attached and my 55-200 in next to it.

LOL babs, you must be talking about handbags :D

James that sounds like i need thanks.

I don't want to give particular models or brands and recommendation as I really don't know all that much about bags but it depends what you are shooting IMO, I initially had a compact shoulder style bag and as good as it was it really didn't suit my needs, I now have a backpack and I love it really suits my photography so my only advise is think about what you will be taking pictures of
