Hi all :wave:

This is my first post on here, it was recommended as a good place for help (I will get to the screaming for help later :lol:)

I am going away next Thursday and have only had my Nikon D40X for a week so need a camera bag for when I go. I ordered a Crumpler Pretty Boy XL from camera world but they have emailled and are out of stock and not getting any in for 2 weeks which is too late for my holiday.

Does anyone know anywhere online or otherwise that sell these at a decent price?

get the pretty boy xxxl its not actually as big as it sounds but i suppose some sizings on the internet are exagerated :p plus if u go for the xxxl u have room for expansion later on
 
How many lenses would you say they each hold? Some sites say 1-2 others 3-4 but for the same sized bag?
 
I looked at the PB XL recently and its pretty small - the claims from Crumpler seem to be based on the lenses being on the small/medium size and not being attached to the body whilst in the bag.

I've bought this week a PB XXXL - bought on ebay £39.99 + £5 postage - seller was SRS Microsystems and got bag next day, all sealed in Crumpler packaging etc.

I reckon this bag will take...

Camera body with kit type lens attached - 3 other lenses of 2x the size of a kit lens and a flashgun, plus room for filters, spare batteries etc. It would struggle to house bigger lenses such as 300mm f2.8 type.

I like the Crumpler - its a bit more discreet as a camera bag for not so friendly places, and is versatile enough to house lots of other day/holiday items beyond camera gear (reading book, glasses, ipod etc etc etc).

if you don't need to carry 3-4 lenses and a flashgun then maybe go for a XXL version.
 
Thanks. I ordered a XXXL in the end. I only have 2 lenses at the moment but it will accomodate if and when I get more.

Just hope I can cancel the bag from camera world or I will end up with 2.
 
I've got a crumpler xxl, Its ace, but I struggle to house a Sigma 10-20, 400d with kit lens and a flashgun.:(

I should have got a bigger bag, cos I have aqquired 2 extra lenses:thumbsdown:
 
on my 2nd bag and it is already full:( already very tempted by a new lens but got nowhere to put it. waiting on a minitrekker to keep it al in. should be arriving soon though:)(got the lowepro rezo 190 at the mo)
