Hi guys and Gals.

Just curious here.

I have now got two camera bags, one is ever so slightly smaller than the other but new one is a sony alpha bag to go with my sony alpha cam.

anyways. I am curious as to how many of you have one than one bag, and to what you actually take out in your camera bag whith you??

I have loads of bags (and cases) and am always on the lookout for another. The perfect bag has not been made - but I'm sure the next one I get will be a bit closer to it. The comparison with ladies handbags is not far off the truth :D

Of the ones I actually use, I have a small walkabout bag, a bigger walkabout bag, and an everything bag that is too heavy to take anywhere far from the car boot.

for just a camera and lens the thinktank holster bags are quite good. not found any other manufacturers apart from the usual bunch who do something different or better. f stop bags look really good and i am considering one of those for all my kit.

2 main bags.

One is Case Logic 120.581 case that just fits round the camera that I use when shooting with Camera and one lens.
2nd bag is much larger KATA DC445 that can hold all my equipment and attaches to my business pilots case (hate being without my camera). The bigger bag is more of a portable organiser and I would very rarely lug it round on a days shooting.

was more meaning the kits you carry in the bags, ie, small bag for quick use, bigger bag for more varied use etc. and what kits you think every photographer should keep in his bag with him/her.

I am a self confessed bag freak. I don't know how many times I have gone out thinking I'll just take this, this and this, and ended up wishing I'd taken that, that and that. Now if I'm going out for the day (in the car), I put what I THINK I will need in a large flipside and everthing else either in a Lowepr Stealth 650 or the Tamrac expedition 8.

Then at least when I get home after a day in the pouring rain sitting in cafes, drinking coffee and NOT taking any pictures I can console myself with the knowledge that if a photographic opportunity HAD presented itself I would at least have had the right gear available.

I have a couple of different bags which I use for different reasons; a backpack - Fastpack 250 (so I can carry my laptop) and a Hama backpack that carries a lot more gear and has space for a jacket, water, sandwiches etc.

As above, the search for the perfect bag is never ending.

I have about six bags of differing sizes and types that I bought to suit various needs, but my current favourite is the Think Tank Retrospective 20; it takes just the right amount of kit for most needs and I'm really pleased with its slim profile and unobtrusive looks.

Think Tank Retrospectives are really nice  I'm sure I will find a really good reason why I need one of those pretty soon ;)

I've got a load of bags but day to day I now use a Kata DR467 which comes everywhere with me, in it are a 1Ds and 24-105, 430 EXII, remote triggers and ND filters. Also my Manfrotto 055XPROB lives in the car so is always with me.

If I am going out for any time specifically for photography I take a Peli 1600 with the above kit plus a 1D2 and 70-200 F4 IS, 1.4 EXII, 50mm f1.8 etc plus Optech dual harnesses and another flash, more spare batteries, cards etc.

I still have yet to get a 'Camera' bag. Although i need to pick one up and having batterys, and caps and hoods, and cards laying around means i loose stuff all the time. I'f i'm going out with my camera, i normally just put one body of my shoulder, put a cap on the second if i'm taking it. then throw a few batterys and cards and a rocket blower into my Dunlop shoulder bag. If i'm taking mutiple len's Then i just wrap them in a t-shirt. Although, with the Old M42 Primes, i don't really take much notice of them they are so cheap.

I've just got the Retrospective 30. Used it for a couple of press jobs this week, and I'm already falling in love with it! Nice to have a bag that doesn't scream "camera bag, steal me", and can still hold a fair bit of kit.

As for the OP choice of bag entirely depends on what I'm shooting, A roller case, if I may need everything, or shoulder bag for smaller requirements.

Me and bags are like my mrs and shoes, I now must have about 7, the thing is I only use 1.
