Camera bag for 300 f/2.8 on 1dm3

I use the lowpro photo trekker AWII, the bag is great, very comfortable, easily hold my 1D MKIIn attached to the 300mm f2.8, 20D body, 70-200mm f2.8, 300mm f4 and 24-105mm f4 plus room for other bits. The bag ain't cheap, but its definitely worth every penny. Comes with a daysac that attached to the outside to put sarnies, wet weather gear etc as well and side attachment for a tripod. Throughly recommend it.

The Lightware z300 looks good. I was after this for a while as my 300/2.8 came without any case/bag but gave up and bought a ThinkTank lens case (which cannot accommodate the camera as well). Of course, three days later I find a 300 trunk locally so now I have two bags for the same lens.

I have the photo trekker AWII but I find that when it's full of gear it's too heavy so if I am just carrying the 300mm f2.8 I use the Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 AW II, this is a tall and thin bag but you can attach side bags to it, also useful for carrying the 600mm but it has to have the lens hood reversed on that.

Tamrac Expedition 8x I've got carries my 1D and 300mm with the hood on ready to go. It's a monster of a bag, but well padded and can carry a lot of stuff.

How big can the sarnies be & do fish sarnies make the bag smell ;)

Another 600AW user. If I want something smaller then I use the ThinkTank Glass Taxi, but you need to reverse the hood to get it in there.

Too heavy, wimp :D trudged all over Cadwell park, Brands hatch, etc, up all the locations in the Machloop, lake district with it fully loaded without problems.

I am sure thats the bag canonbob has for his fits a treat

Flirted with one briefly Rick but found that the Kinesis I used for the 600/4 is lighter and stronger....I ditched the 600AW and got a second Kinesis for the 300/2.8.
http://kgear.com/l/#l511 just big enough for the 1D3, 300/2.8 with hood ready and a T/C if fitted.
