Anyone know of camerbags that dont necessarily look like camera bags. Basically, im after something like the slingshot aw300 capacity wise, but something that doesnt look as square/solid/firm etc.

Something a little alternative but still protects. maybe something that looks more 'casual'.....

Im sure ive seen some sling type bags but made from a waterproof canvas in a brown colour

thanks

I just looked at a review of the slingshot 300 to see what it held but I'm not sure about the size of some of the stuff listed!!

I have a crumpler greekstar (?) and it takes a fair bit. I have had my 40D + grip, 70-200 and my 1.4 + 2 x convertors. My friends 5D+ grip his 24-105L and (I think) a 16-35L, a flash (don't know what type) some filters, my manual, pens, cards, batteries plasters, sandwiches and chocolate!

I have used it to take my camera in to work, but it wasn't full as I try to only take what I use. It's not square and does not shout camera inside. Someone else will probably have better ideas but it works for me!

I have a crumpler pretty boy, felt a bot duped by its sizer as its not that large. One Camera with lens, one spare lens and a few odds and sods. No real room for flash, tc, etc.

The reason im after it is im off to dartmoor for a week and could do with something backpack ish to hold body and lens plus one or 2 more lenses, flash, tc, tripod plus acesories like spare battery.

But, I also want it to be able to be carried around london without screaming Camera bag or being too bulky....

Dont want much eh!

I read on another forum that people use lunch bags (insulated ones are well padded) and nappy bags as neither look like they contain expensive camera gear.

how about a crumpler that has a removable padded photo section and put that in an ordinary canvas messenger bag, a manbag or whatever you want

I have a crumpler long schlong for sale in the classifieds, doesn't look like a camera bag, you'd get a big zoom and body in the top and 2 lenses and a flash or 3 lenses in the bottom

Another vote for the Geekstar. Bags of room and certainly does the trick for me!!
