A few weeks ago - I was looking for a wireless transmitter for my camera - and having done a little research I found they were much of a muchness in price all over. I remember reading on here that some retailers participated in cashback schemes - so had a look on Topcashback - and found that Calumet was amongst the retailers that participated.

After following the instructions of clicking through from Topcashback (And I was very careful I did this) - I made my purchase - and got all the confirmation emails from Calumet, but the purchase didn't record in the Topcashback members area.

I then submitted a missing members cashback claim, complete with my purchase date, invoice number etc - and was informed that it could take several months to deal with the request - pain in the neck - but there you go - waited patiently.

Got a communication tonight to tell me that my claim is rejected - the cash back is only for about £12 - but was the reason I chose Calumet. If I'm honest - I would have picked another retailer if it hadn't been for the cashback option. As a result I'm £12 down (which isn't a huge amount in the grand scheme of things) but on principle is something that's irked me a lot.

Has anyone else had a problem on cashback sites not paying out? Or specifically with Calumet?

I've used them via topcashback back 3 times in the last 12 months. They've always tracked and paid out ok. (and they honoured their price match policy when I found my 100-400 mkii 10% cheaper on offer at Jessops almost a week later)

I've used TCB for a few years, although never with Calumet. Mostly purchases track well, but I have had to make a few claims, which so far have always paid out. That said, right now I have a claim for £68 outstanding for a TV from Currys and am waiting to see whether a new SIM only purchase from 3 tracks, for which cashback is £82.50. I need to wait 7 days before raising a claim, but I only received the SIM today and have not activated it yet. Maybe it will show up soon.

I have also used Quidco for many years. Again, by and large things have always tracked OK, but I do have a claim from the past week for about £1 from Argos. I'm not so concerned about the £1, but the purchase should also attract a £10 bonus from Quidco themselves, so currently I'm £12 out of pocket, but it's early days and I'm not worried - yet.

It's annoying when there are complications, but I've made over £1,000 with Quidco and almost £1,000 with TCB, and the cash back is not guaranteed, so it is a very nice bonus to have when it costs nothing but an extra mouse click usually.

EDIT : My Three cash back has now tracked, but at £77 instead of £82.50. It's a start, I suppose, but I've had to raise a ticket. FWIW I have never had a transaction declined that wasn't justified as a result of cancelling the order prior to shipping.

I've received most of my cash backs but a few of the big ones were declined. including to £40 for Esure insurance and an £80 from Carphone Warehouse. I now see it as a bonus but don't use the cashback as a price comparison.

Sorry to hear that. I've used Quidco and Topcashback for years with no problems, fortunately. Things that can cause problems include pop-up blockers and old cookies.

I have but very rarely.

Did you use another voucher, that can void it.

Mine often don't track but just do what you do.

Unfortunately its down to the company if they give cashback so I don't treat it as a discount but as a perk, but if Calumet are refusing for no reason then I would question their customer services on the whole.

Never had an issue with topcashback and payout, although I've had a couple take a few months to payback, usually insurance type products

I use Topcashback and Quidco and have had the odd failure. I try to avoid issues by doing my research using one browser (Firefox) and using another (Chrome) solely for cashback purposes with the entire history cleared immediately before logging onto the cashback site.

^this. Every time. Chrome browser from desktop or laptop ok, but have had untracked clickthroughs when on iPad.

I had a £100 cashback claim with Sky, via Quidco, rejected but after protest it was eventually confirmed. Since that positive experience, I only ever use Quidco now.

They do say don't rely on cashback as part of the purchase decision making, but with care, it usually works for me.

I have used Quidco for 6 years or so and have claimed back and banked over £700 I have had to raise claims in the past with Sky for £125 and it took 9 months but I got my money in the end One of my latest was a sim only 12 month £10 per month deal with £50 cashback I did it through Quidco and after around 4 weeks I was refused payment so I claimed to no avail so If I can give some advice Chris what I did was to contact BT direct through customer services and explained my case and a few days later £40 voucher for Amazon dropped through the door I was really expecting to get fobbed off so Thanks to BT
