Calling Canon 40d users

Has anyone had issues with it focusing iv noticed my pics are a bit soft at time but not really payed Amy notice to it till I bought my wife a camera for Christmas and as you do we photograph the same thing from times and hers are sharp and crisp with a kit lens and I use a sigma 18-50-2.8 so I put it down to my lens being faulty but before I just went and bought a new lens I tried her lens and the same soft unsharp pic's so tryed my lens on her camera and sharp crisp pic's so has anyone else had the same problem and if so was it fixable?

May need calibrated with your body.

Not sure of cost for that mind you.

Prob worth sending the body and lens to Canon for them to have a quick fettle.

no need to send the lens; it works fine on another body so it's OK
