Anyone find the film door opening/closing mechanism really stiff?
It is crucifying my finger to open and close the trap door.

Also, is it possible to get ND filters for them?

Mine's not stiff at all Tony.
Well, there are a few dozen lewd jokes I could make about your response but, in the interests of professionalism I'll just thank you for your input.
That said, this is my third copy of the model and all have been a pain to open.

There's a parts guide here...

Look for Bayonet 1 (one) filters. Most TLR makers used the Rollei bayonet system so they're pretty common still.

Thanks for that.
My guess is the ring fixing assembly is gummed up.
It will be. I've had a few that have been tight. Remove the leatherette ring in the middle. Remove the three screws underneath and it all comes apart. Clean it all and use some light grease. It will be the slide that is tight. The leatherette ring will probably disintegrate when you remove it.

I know nothing about Rollei filters, other than they seem sui generis. A quick search indicates that Fotodiox and SRB make adapters, which might be worth investigating. Search prompted by Wayne's comment above.
