if i can get all the skirting boards off my lounge walls early enough tomorrow,i'm off out for a play with it :D

our possible meet on the 20th may have to be postponed then...

i think you really need :help:

Already beyond help.

London plans have changed as my job has been cancelled. I put a thread up in meeting place but the concensus appears to be towards the end of that week now.

Hi guys.
Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new here (as my post count would indicate) and am the proud owner of a brand spanking new A200!

I intend to use it mostly for Motorsport and a bit of wildlife here and there. Oh yeah and Downhill Mountain Biking and climbing... I got the twin lens kit so that I could have a long lens for the F1, where quite often your not as close to the track as you'd like (although my Singapore Gp pics where super close, got to love new races where the security is relaxed!!!)

At the moment Im just bashing around, taking photo's to get used to the settings... Mostly Ducks because the gloomy weather has forced all the Water dragons into hiding :(

One quick question though, do any of you use a polarizing filter when shooting Motorsport to take the glare off windscreens? I know I should probibly ask in the motorsport forum but I've noticed in my reading several of you guys seem to get out to the races when you can :)

Cheers,

Ed

Welcome Ed

Sure you'll be very pleased with your new camera. I don't shoot motorsport so can't help with your question, but I'm sure someone will be along to help you soon.

5.50am just got home good night on the town hello all
good night

Lightweight! :p

Thanks fabs, looking forward to learning all the things this camera can do:D
Good thing is today the weather was a bit better so the water dragons came out! Got a bunch of photo's, I love being able to shoot macro!
All these using the kit 75-300, not very good maybe but a world better than I've ever got on the old P&S:woot:

Yeah, had to sneak out! ;) Had a brilliant day but it was bloomin' freezing! Still, better than shopping for wallpaper! :p

mmmmmmm......i was hoping for something a little cheaper marc ;)

Oh OK. I have the Lowepro Vertex 100, which you saw in London in October, and if you get rid of the grip on the A350, it will hold that lot easily.

cheers marc,i think the grip will go as i don't see me needing one on both bodies...i'll take a look at the vertex 100

i recon it won't be long before we talk him into getting the 70-200 G,marc...

good shots exileded

Thanks guys, I think my first purchases will be a 1.4 tc and one of the fabled Beercan's if I can find one down this end of the world. The 70-200G does look mighty tempting but I dont want to over commit cashwise as I'm off to the F1 in Melbourne and Malaysia in about 10 weeks.
Mind you I am friends with a couple of managers at the Sony tech support centre down here, maybe I could pull some strings... No... Must not spend....
