Does anyone happen to know the cheapest place to get the a350 grip jessops are around £130 but they dont have any left :help:

My local SOny centre charge the same price as jessops for the grip. Worth checking there if you have one locally.

how do i insert the pictures so they appear in the thread?

@Happy Snapper - Check price with them too. Sony Centres are franchises and can set their own prices I believe.

Open up your picture in Flickr and select all sizes. Select the size you want to post in here (remember the maximum size for this forum is 800 pixels). Underneath the picture is a field titled "grab the photo's url", copy this data. In your post, click on the "Insert Image" button (The one that looks like 2 mountains) and paste your url in the box that comes up. Click OK, job done.

Edit: I really must type quicker than Happy Snapper, that's twice he's done me! :bang::bang:

yay, eventually got my A700 today :woot: :woot: :woot:.

only problem is...got so much work to do over the weekend,i'm not gonna have much of a chance to use it :'(

did get it out of the box though, just to put in a fully charged battery and card,so it's all ready to go :D

hi marc..not sure mate,as i haven't had time to look properly at it or the paperwork.whereabouts will i find out which version of firmware it has?

i can't believe how bright the viewfinder is :D

Turn the camera on, press menu, press disp. The version will be displayed.

and i'm deffo going to get the grip for it...it feels small compared to my A350 at the moment

edit:no marc, they didn't have one there, and the local jessops and jacobs want £200 for one and wouldn't price match,so i'll get it in london when i'm up there on the 18th/19th/20th from cameraworld for £156

Guys

My a300 is firmware ver 1 does it need updating?

Not yet, a version 2 has yet to be released, if indeed the do one. If so it would be here. You may want to check once in a while but it could be that nothing needs changing.

i've got an a300, and never thought about firmware on camera's. what are the benefits, say on your a700?

Firmware updates are released usually when any issues are brought to light which can be easily fixed this way. With the A700 it was mainly the noise handling. It could be that with the A300/350 no such updates are required.
