'Jealous' woman, 26, 'tried to hire hitman using dark web to murder her colleague at Sports Direct store after they both started having an affair with their general manager.

'A 26-year-old woman allegedly tried to hire a hitman on the dark web to kill her work colleague when she discovered they were both having an affair with their Sports Direct store manager, a father of two with a long-term partner.

Whitney Franks, who was described in court as 'rampantly jealous', is accused of trying to hire an online assassin after posting an ad on the dark web offering £1,000 'or more' for the hit.
Prosecutor Andrew Copeland told the court that the ad read: ‘I’m looking for the murder of a woman.
I have £1,000 and I am willing to pay more.
This woman has caused a lot of problems for myself and others.
Please can you help sort this out.’
Posted alongside the ad was the address, Facebook profile and description of her work colleague Ruut Ruutna.

The court was told that Ruutna was Franks' work colleague who joined the Milton Keynes store and began an affair with general manager James Prest,
with the two women competing for his attention.

I wonder if SD head office HR have looked at the continued employment status of that store manager......... No doubt what someone does in their private lives is none of their employers business but as his sexual dalliances might be considered an abuse of position in a workplace, is he a fit employee let alone a manager???

Nothing coming up under the ruut profile bar a tidy bird with white hair ‍

Bet his wife/ long term partner isn’t amused either

What idiot gets involved with two women at the same time?

It's just begging for his trouble and their contempt...

The latest update from court.
It seems she didn't mean it and wondered if it could be done.

I'm not sure the Judge will go for that :D

A woman who allegedly put a hit out on a colleague she was in a love triangle with claims she did it out of ‘intrigue’. Whitney Franks, 26, admits putting out a plea to get rid of love rival Ruut Ruutna on a page selling ‘murder, drugs and guns’.

She claims she did not have any intention for Ms Ruutna to be murdered and made the post to see if the website was a scam. The post, which offered a reward of £1,000, was spotted by a journalist and reported to police.

Her 'self created problem' sounds like the internet equivalent of the 'bo*b in the luggage "joke" at the airport. I trust the Judge will throw the book at her if the jury find against her!

Looking at the pictures I'm guessing "ugly fruit"

But I guess he may have other attributes :D

Update.
She won't do that again...

A Sports Direct worker who put out a hit on the dark web for a colleague she was in a love triangle with has been jailed for 12 years.
Whitney Franks, 27, tried to find a hitman who would get rid of love rival Ruut Ruutna for £1,000 in BitCoin.
